Sharks: Killer Beasts or Confused Sea animals?

Sharks are more commonly known as killers and beasts. Many people ponder this as if the shark is a cold blooded killer or if it was just afraid. Research shows that most of the time sharks attack surfers because under the water surfers on their boards look like sea turtles one of the shark’s natural prey.If you aren’t a surfer that doesn’t mean that you will easilly avoid shark attack. Sharks are definately attracted to slplashing and some times that excites them.

If you are still having a fear of sharks you may want to know some of the sharks weak spots. First of all sharks must be swimming at all times to survive. They do not get any rest unless it’s eternal. Many people attacked by sharks usually survive there are rare cases of a person dying from a shark attack. But before you start planning your next family vacation you might want to learn shark safety first.

Swim, surf or dive with other people, and don’t move too far away from assistance.
Stay out of the water at dawn, dusk and night, when some species of sharks may move inshore to feed.
Do not enter the water if you have open wounds or are bleeding in any way. Sharks can detect blood and body fluids in extremely small concentrations.
Avoid murky waters, harbor entrances and areas near stream mouths (especially after heavy rains), channels or steep drop-offs. These types of waters are known to be frequented by sharks.

Refrain from excessive splashing; keep pets, which swim erratically, out of the water. Sharks are known to be attracted to such activity.
Do not enter the water if sharks are known to be present. Leave the water quickly and calmly if one is sighted. Do not provoke or harass a shark, even a small one.
If fish or turtles start to behave erratically, leave the water. Avoid swimming near dolphins, as they are prey for some large sharks.
Remove speared fish from the water or tow them a safe distance behind you. Do not swim near people fishing or spear fishing. Stay away from dead animals in the water.
Swim or surf at beaches patrolled by lifeguards and follow their advice.

The week

So my lack of posts has probably had you wondering “Where is she?” well here I am and her is my my run through of my busy week.

Sunday: Church, Father’s day. I made my Dad a liitle yarn doll named Shaggy. It was a nice Sunday.

Monday- First day of basketball camp I had tons of fun. Afterwords we ate lunch with the people from NC (North Carolina) and relaxed. Then for youth group we went mini-golfing in Durango. On the way back I got icecream.

Tuesday- Basketball camp then I went with m friend Keely to the rec center in Durango. We went on the rock wall and I climbed my all time highest with out my legs moving like jello. Then we went swimming. I actually for the first time got onto the high dive and jumped after a girl younger than me went on for the first time after some persuasion from her mom, her sister, and Keely and me. It kind of stung because I didn’t land right but I went two times after. We went in the whirlpool and the toilet. the toilet is just something I call a middle part which sucks you and spins you round and round there is only one way out. Later we became bored and played some basketball.

Wednesday- Basketball camp then we ate lunch with the people from NC (again) came home relaxed and I watched the kids.

Thursday- Basically the same except I went to the library for the SRP ( summer reading program.) There was a guy who could do computer animation! His program was 2,500 $. That’s a lot of babysitting money. He made a ball with a face that does back flips in 15 minutes. It was cool.

Friday- Basketball camp game day. i got a new basketball and pizza. I am at home now after cleaning up. My sister couldn’t do the backyard again. This time it wasn’t the wasps she blamed the mess on my dog. She said this ” Hannah’s dog made the mess. So she should clean her dog’s mess.” i still did it for her my dog’s mess and everything else. I am such a good sister. My grandparents are coming for my brother’s birthday dinner when tomorrow’s his birthday. He is having a big party with a friend who has the same b-day. It sounds cool but he has been ultra selfish.

So that”s my run through of the week comment if you want.

Okay so I thought I might explain some of my personal life to you because for some reason my posts late

Grrrr....

ly have been stories. That was not on purpose okay? But this web log is not a journal either if you want drama check out ritamorrison.wordpress.com another blog I did about a girl and her journal.

My family is a christian family don’t get offended or anything but that is life. Deal with it. Our church is expanding in fact we are building a new church building. We have people from North Carolina helping out with the church including basketball camp. Now the ages are 5-13 so I still have to go but it’s fun. If you are reading this and are a parent the dates are 21-26 between 9:oo – 1:00 am pm. In Bayfield ,CO. So yeah you may know that I am definately the oldest of four and my parents don’t count.

View This Poll So I was cleaning out my school stuff the other day (kinda late I know) and I found my Comp. book with a bunch of my weird stories so I’ve decided every now and then I will post one of them. This one is in a whole different view so there will be quite a few misspellings do to the main character. Bear with me.

The Flea

Yum! Yum! Me flea. Flea chew dog tail.Aah! Tail wagging flea must jump! Oh no dog chew tail! Run wife run! Flea wife got eaten. Curse dog! Die! Oh look flea childs hatching. Bite flea childs bite! Dog itchy and twitchy.

Dog stop, dog cry. Dog gets what dog deserves. Hee hehe! Flea and flea childs win. Flea amazing! Flea childs amazing! Flea wife be proud. Dog not angry dog sad. Cat meet dog flea must jump. Buh bye flea childs!

Hope you like that liitte story but this blog is not a story blog so don’t get confused this was just funny so I decided it should be used. See ya!

Cleaning House

Beware!!

Today is clean up house day with additional chores. Ughh. My sister has been a wimp because she won’t clean up the yard. You want to know why? She is afraid of wasps. I am not to fond of them myself but I even did her chore for her because them. She is constantly afraid of bugs. Moths, spiders,wasps,bees,mosquitoes you name it. This is probably a boring post so lets spice it up a bit.

RETURN OF THE WASPS:

A long ,long ,long, time ago in a galaxy far ,far away…. A little girl was enjoying her walk outside her name was Kenna . She was constantly afraid of bugs and really afraid of wasps. She even had her sister with her all the time who had mastered the art of the FlySwatter. Little did she know that her sister had been invited to a party and could not help her on this walk. Terrified Kenna grabbed the fly swatter and practiced using it until her mom told her to go on her walk. Kenna was ready. grabbing her sister’s fly swatter she braced herself and began her walk. On her walk she heard a faint buzzing noise but the more she walked the louder the noise got. She was scared very scared. Suddenly a whole swarm of wasps came into view. She ran but they were gaining on her finally braced herself and strook. Five wasps down 95 more to go she kept swatting and finally all that was left was the queen. She had a massive stinger and killer fangs. Kenna was not impressed a few strikes and the queen was down dead with her children. Kenna felt good and couldn’t wait to tell her sister Hanwaru. She ran back home. The End

Great story right? Well I guess I’ll post more later. Today there should be a video of some random stuff. See ya!!
